Being broken up with sucks, but eventually you get over it probably.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you're in your mid to late twenties. When you or her reach your thirties... that's when the "settling down" feeling starts to take hold. You seem to be expressing the "settle down" feeling already and she wasn't in that mood yet. So your friends were close when they guessed there was another guy... but not quite accurate. I think she just wanted to keep the option of seeing other guys before staying with 1 guy.
She said "stagnant"... I'm guessing she's too young to really know what direction to take with the rest of her life. But at some point she may realize that "dating-play-time is over, time to get married" and then move on from there.
In your case though, you still have to look out for yourself and don't beat yourself up too much over this.

quite accurate, however, there is no such thing as a girl being out of your league, if a connection can be made, it has nothing to do about looks, or who is a 9 or 10

It's rough but at least you have your art to allow you to express and cope. Peace.

Shit man... that's rough, and sort of fucking makes me feel guilty. Like... fuck.

Well that was depressing... at least this episode does end with closure though! Good session of life advice, and with some lighthearted bouts of wit and what-not amidst all the pondering faults and searching for answers... somehow these seem to just keep getting more and more serious, further from the light-hearted comical art classes of the first few and further into the series issues of love, belonging, friendship, purpose and the human psyche. Not where I thought it would go but... I'm looking forward to more!

The narration and visuals are spot-on as always, and though you can listen to these without, as if they were podcasts, it's a whole other experience with the visual link. Like two layers of the same story. Great work again.
