The sun rises like the tides
Snow melts and flowers bloom wide
While the wolf and the owl of the moon fly together to their den
Where they await the sun’s departure to begin their dance again
Recently, I went snowshoeing in Bend Oregon. The trek didn't take us anywhere in particular, just a little stroll in the snow surrounded by trees. I often find these moments to be the most magical. There's no huge vista or majestic waterfall to enthrall your attention. Which allows you to just enjoy the serenity of the forest and the magic of the sun glistening across the snow, shining like little diamonds.
I wanted to capture that moment. Two creatures, carefree as the sun begins to light up the world around them. This was another piece where I found myself unhappy with some of my first drawing and took a second attempt at the wolf's expression.
That's really awesome
